Enrichment

We recognise that Sixth Form life has to be about more than ‘Grades… Grades… Grades…’ as though they are important there are wider learning skills which are equally important for the workplace and adult life.

EPQ (completed during Y12 and Y13)

The Extended Project Qualification, EPQ, is a Level 3 Advanced qualification which is highly regarded by most universities. You will undertake a high level project in an area of your interest and choice. The skills you will learn and develop include; independent study, research, academic writing and will increase your confidence in future study.

LAMDA

Xổ số ba địa điểm An GiangLAMDA Performing Arts qualification (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) Awards are given by one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies. These qualifications help students of all ages and abilities to develop lifelong skills and the Awards count towards UCAS applications and are respected by employers. Students are required to prepare three short pieces for performance in the disciplines of acting or musical theatre. Year 12 complete the qualification at grade 7 and in Year 13 they can then take grade 8.

Maths Booster

Xổ số ba địa điểm An GiangAn opportunity to help extra learning and support for the lower year students. During tutor time students support younger pupils with their maths skills.

Sports Leaders

Sports Leaders Level 2 is a national qualification in sports leadership. To complete the qualification, students must delve into the theory behind leadership and make links between leadership in sport and how those skills are beneficial in the wider world. Students complete the theory booklet, 10 hours of independent sports leadership outside of timetabled lessons (which must be signed off by an observer) and plan and deliver a sporting event to a group of children.

Work Experience

Xổ số ba địa điểm An GiangAll students complete a week of work experience at the end of Year 12. In addition, students can opt to do work experience as their enrichment opportunity. Support is given with finding placements and all appropriate health and safety assessments are completed.

KS3 Mentoring

An opportunity to help extra learning and support for the lower year students. This often includes reading and mentoring pupils. Students are given full training to do this.

Connect Café / Lunch Time Mentor

Sixth form students have the opportunity to supervise in a lunchtime club for lower school pupils. In this club, sixth form students engage and support younger students with a range of games, events and activities to help build their confidence and communication skills.

Librarian Helper

Student Librarians help with the supervision of the library, issuing and returning books via the library management system, shelving the books accurately, helping library users with computer or printer issues and help out at special events such as Open Evenings.
